Rafael Álvarez-Novoa Romero

Rafael Álvarez-Novoa Romero has a Degree in Industrial Engineering from E.T.S. de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid. He started his professional career at Control Presupuestario, where he worked for 11 years working with a broad range of companies, and was ultimately appointed Director.

In 1986 he joined La Ley as Managing Director.

He later joined Price Waterhouse as an Associate Director. In 1991 he began working in the field of Interim & Transition Management which, until then, was relatively unknown in Spain. In 1991 he founded MBD, TMG (Transition Management Group) in 1993 and, in 1997, DT Directores de Transición.

He is an expert in business management, strategic planning, organisational development, management changes, diagnosis and viability plans, and is particularly skilled at team and individual motivation.

As a Back-Up Manager, he has managed at DT over one hundred projects and a similar number prior to joining DT. His 23 years’ experience in the Interim and Transition Management industry has made him one of the leading experts in the field in Spain and his time at TMG has put him at the forefront of the industry in Europe.
