Rafael Álvarez-Novoa Romero

An Industrial Engineering graduate from Madrid’s Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering (E.T.S. de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid), he began his career at the company Control Presupuestario, working for a large number of companies over 11 years and reaching the position of Director. In 1986 he joined the company La Ley as Managing Director. Later, he joined Price Waterhouse as Associate Director. In 1991, he began to develop a previously little-known activity in Spain: Interim & Transition Management. He founded MBD in 1991, TMG (TRANSITION MANAGEMENT GROUP) in 1993 and DT Directores de Transición in 1997. He is an expert in business management, strategic planning, organisational development and management change, diagnosis and feasibility plans, and he is particularly skilled in motivating teams and individuals. As Back-Up Manager he has directed over a hundred projects with DT. His 19 years' experience in the Interim & Transition Management sector have made him one of Spain’s foremost experts in the industry, whilst his experience with TMG has positioned him as an expert in the European sector.
